About

Mystic Sounds is a music blog brought to you by the father and son team of Michael K. Eidson and Andrew Eidson.

Michael K. EidsonMichael K. Eidson’s paying job is as a software engineer, but he also has a passion for music, fantasy fiction, and old-school role playing games. He listens to a lot of music, as he is in the enviable position of being able to listen to the music of his choice while he works. Indeed, it helps him focus when he’s writing software. He remembers the days of listening to Casey Kasem and the American Top 40 radio show back in the 70s and watching MTV in the 80s. He still listens to the oldies. Some newer music also catches his attention. He tends to favor female pop artists when it comes to new music, but listens to a decent variety of other music, too, so expect to find posts from him about music old and new across various genres by groups and solo artists of both genders. Just don’t expect to see many posts from him about rap (there are a few).

Andrew EidsonMichael’s son, Andrew, is a recent college graduate with a Mass Communications major. He’s also a noise musician, and has released more than a few EPs under the name SNMT, which stands for “Say No More Tongues.” When he started with SNMT, he didn’t include any vocals, and hence the choice of artist name. After he decided to include some vocals, he switched to the acronym, SNMT. If you like noise music, you can find SNMT on Amazon and bandcamp. You can never tell what type of music Andrew will write about on Mystic Sounds. New, old, any genre, groups, soloists of either genre, whatever. If it’s music or advertised as such, it’s fair game for Andrew.

  1. Hi Michael, I was bummed to see the eposic website down as I was interested in reviewing all of the great info you had up about JavaScript dice simulations.

Is that material still available anywhere? I’m sure you’re busy but if there’s any way you might be able to make it available to me, it’d be most appreciated.

    Thank you!

    • Hi, Patrick. Check out my other blog for an explanation of what happened with the eposic domains and the screw up with the former web host. I do plan to put much of the material back online that was on eposic.org before, but it will just take some time.
